Fama di loro il mondo esser non lassa; misericordia e giustizia li sdegna: non ragioniam di lor, ma guarda e passa.

I certainly am an advocate of therapy. I wish that our culture, meaning American culture, had less stigma attached to getting professional help for mental illness.

lotr meme: most lamented death
→ boromir

#most lamented by me you mean  #sometimes I wonder what Gondor would have looked like with Aragorn as high king and Boromir as steward  #because you just know that Boromir and Aragorn would have fought each other on everything  #truly epic shouting matches that would send ministers scurrying from the throne room  #”I’m sorry—who was it leading the armies of Gondor while you were painting with all the colors of the wind and necking with your  #hippe-dippy elf girlfriend?”  #”I don’t know I seemed to do pretty damn well at a little battle called PELENNOR FIELDS.”  #”Yeah because the undead army wasn’t an unfair advantage at all.”  #”An undead army that would only follow the one true king of Gondor who—hm. Crown; sword that was once broken—IT’S ME”  #”WE WERE DOING JUST FINE WITHOUT YOU.”  #”THE STEWARD OF GONDOR LITERALLY TRIED TO BURN HIMSELF AND YOUR BROTHER ALIVE HOW IS THAT FINE.”  #”DID YOU SERIOUSLY JUST GO THERE?”  #”YOU’RE JUST PISSED BECAUSE THE ONLY THING YOU’LL EVER BE KING OF IS DADDY ISSUES.”  #”AND YOU’RE A ROYAL PAIN IN THE ASS!”  #”…what were we talking about?”  #”Troop movements along the northern border.”  #”Oh. We’re agreed we need to increase our strength?”  #”Gondor was doing just fine without a king.”  #”Blow it out your ass Boromir.” (via notbecauseofvictories)

“Our relationship took a different turn after the first movie. I was so grateful to have him be involved, but then we just became friends. So our relationship has become something much bigger than our connection to Star Trek (…). He has ascended to someone of great importance in my life.” - Zachary Quinto on Chris Pine

I think that a lot of the reason Jarvis has become so human is because Tony treats him like he’s human. Tony talks to Jarvis in a very colloquial way. He says “you up?” when he knows damn well that Jarvis is operational. He says “throw a little hot-rod red in there” instead of “paint components x, y, and z with red paint #20.” Tony treats all his machinery like that—Dummy and You, especially—and Jarvis is no exception.

Jarvis has become much more human since Iron Man 1. He actually displayed emotions in Iron Man 3—specifically when he feared for Tony’s life, his voice sounded terribly frightened, and in instances like the second gif where he said “I need to sleep” and not “My battery is depleted.” Jarvis has grown and changed, as any self-aware creature does. He has become human because he is treated as such.
